Ever since I rode in my friend's 2.0 liter V8 Ferrari, I have been utterly obsessed with small-displacement V8 engines.
There's something so wonderfully perverse about a small-displacement V8. In America we're so attuned to the burble of a 454 at idle, or the wall-of-air sound of a full-size truck at three quarters throttle. When you come across a tiny V8, you can finally see the engine in its abstract — perhaps the most well-rounded multicylinder configuration there is.
So show us your favorite small displacement V8s. There are more than you might think.
