The worst nightmare of basically every driver is to be caught in a car while it's on fire. Just that happened to Shana Porter in South Carolina. Thankfully, people jumped right into action to help.
Porter's car collided with a tree off the interstate in Charleston, SC when it burst into flames. The call went out to the fire department, but the police arrived first. And luckily, someone from a nearby fire suppression company also heard the call and rushed to the scene.
Through the fast action of the police, they were able to put out the blaze and get Porter out of the car. She was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
