With a 5.7-liter V8 cranking out 400 horsepower, the first generation Cadillac CTS-V was nothing to mess with. Now, using their new twin-turbo V6 engine with even more power, the 2014 Cadillac CTS Vsport has managed to best that car's Nürburgring time by a whopping six seconds.
Who says there's no replacement for displacement, right? The Vsport's new 3.6-liter twin turbo V6 pumps out 420 horsepower and a whopping 430 pound-feet of torque. Cadillac announced today that the Vsport recorded a lap time of 8:14.10 around the 'Ring.
Remember, this isn't the new CTS-V, but rather a performance-oriented trim that slots below the V and can actually walk the walk unlike a lot of other luxury brands' special trims.
I can't wait to see what the next CTS-V will be capable of, but with performance like this, you probably can't go wrong with the Vsport.
