I know, I know. You want us to shit all over this Mitsubishi Mirage, both literally and figuratively. But I'm not going to. I find this impossibly cool for some reason. Maybe it's because I haven't finished my coffee yet.
Mitsubishi is building just 400 of the pink Mirages to celebrate Hello Kitty's 40th anniversary, probably only for the domestic Hello Kitty-obsessed market. So what do you get? You get a pink Mirage with unique hubcaps, some Hello Kitty stickers, and a unique interior. Oh, and a pillow inside.
So why don't I hate this? Because it's Mitsubishi having fun with a car that isn't really all that great. It's Mitsubishi celebrating one of Japan's most well known and iconic institutions. It's a chance to just do something for the hell of it. And in America, you don't see Chevrolet making a Mickey Mouse edition Spark, do you?
No. So I salute you Mitsubishi. You keep on keepin' on.
