insuranceinstantonline.blogspot.com ® Dead Animal + Enzo Ferrari = Prewar Racing

This is not Enzo Ferrari with a dead rabbit. It's Luigi Arcangeli, who slayed the animal with his Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 in Monza, 1931, not long before he met his own death at the wheel of an Alfa Romeo Tipo A.

But he knew Enzo, starting his racing career as a factory rider for Sarolea, Sunbeam, Bianchi and Moto Guzzi before switching to four wheels with a 2-liter Bugatti in 1928. After driving Talbot-Darracqs, winning at Cremona in 1928 and continuing with Maserati Tipo 8C-2500 scoring a first place at the Rome Grand Prix in 1930, he followed Tazio Nuvolari and joined Enzo Ferrari's Scuderia with Alfa Romeo.
