The 2014 Toyota Aygo was supposed to debut tomorrow in Geneva, but it leaked ahead of schedule. I like it. I hate to overuse the word "angry," but it's the angry/evil twin of its platform-mate, the Citroen C1.
I love that dark cross on the front end over the headlamps. The face is something from a '90s SNES game. The C1 played it safe in the rear, but the Aygo's tail has more personality with sharper taillights and an angled bumper.
Like the C1 and Peugeot 108, the Aygo should run around 1,851 pounds, which is heavier than the older model. All are built in the Czech Republic and come with the same 1.0L, 3-cylinder engine with a five-speed manual.
And it's Europe-only because the restrictions on bringing European hatchbacks to America are just too strict. But you know what? This styling wouldn't be so bad on a Yaris, y'know.
