There are worse ways to kill two hours on an airplane flight than by firing up one of Michael Bay's Transformers movies. There are also better ways, like reading, but whatever. The films never disappoint when it comes to cars and explosions.
And now, in addition to the cars and explosions, there are dinosaurs. Giant mechanical ones, presumably of the Transformer variety. After all the explosions in the first three movies, I was wondering how Bay would up his game for the fourth installment.
Dinosaurs. Dinosaurs is how.
Transformers: Age of Extinction centers around Mark Wahlberg as a down-on-his-luck Texan who finds an old semi trailer and tries to fix it up in hopes of rescuing his family from financial ruin.
At this point the movie seems like it could be a stirring drama about an ordinary working man who goes on a cross country adventure in the semi in hopes of making money only to reconnect with his kids and learn what's really important in life, but then EXPLOSIONS and DINOSAURS. And a Pagani.
I can't wait to download this on iTunes the next time I have to fly to LAX.
