The Fiat 500 695 Biposto Is The Nuttiest Abarth Yet S

The Fiat 500 Abarth is already a bit of an angry car. Firm suspension, a manual transmission only, and an exhaust that sounds like it hates you and every other living thing. If you want to make it even madder, you do the equivalent of throwing hot sauce in its eyes. Enter the fire-breathing Fiat 500 695 Biposto.

The "695" heralds back to the original super-fast Fiat Abarth from 1964, and the little Biposto (which means "two-seater" in Italian) certainly lives up to its name. Fiat's basically stripped everything out to make the world's littlest track monster that's still capable of punching you in the face. Two carbon fiber shells with smears of leather for seats, nothing but titanium and netting in the back, adjustable shocks, four-point safety belts, a new exhaust system, self-locking differential, digital data logger, and the front windows are fixed in place, leaving you with nothing but sliding polycarbonate doggy doors to stick your head out.

Oh, and a dog-leg transmission that lets you make super-fast upshifts without the clutch. Because racing.

Real carbon fiber isn't just limited to the seats, either, as it's all over the dash and makes up the front spoiler and rear diffuser as well.

Like a roided-up cagefighter trying to make weight, all of the dieting has brought the formerly staid city car down to only 995 kilograms. Throw in the fact that this version has 190 horses, and it sounds like the most hilarious little racer the world has seen in decades.

No word yet on pricing, but your ridiculous little city car should probably sell for around 50,000 of those European Euros, if you're in Europe.
