The Lamborghini Miura is an icon, and not just because it's pretty. It's an icon because of the revolution that is ignited. It can be argued that the Miura is the first showroom-ready supercar, with its engine in the middle. And it looks fantastic in blue.
I can remember the first time I saw a Lamborghini Miura in person. It was on the highway. I was in the middle lane, the Miura in the slow lane. The driver probably didn't want to risk damaging it. But even as it sat there on its haunches, moving just about 60 miles per hour, you could still tell what it was used for. Despite the lack of actual velocity, every time the driver lifted off the throttle, the engine would pop and snort and a spit of flame would shoot out the back. And the whole thing smelled like heaven.
You always remember the first time you see a Miura.
