We think of car companies as leaders in style and design, but more often than not these manufacturers are conservative, bland appliance makers with logos to match. And even some of the cool auto firms have ultra-boring signage.
10.) GM
The "Mark of Excellence" has been around since 1966, right around the time GM was deciding to let their most innovative design in ages, the Corvair, rot on the vine.

9.) Toyota
From it's oval-like-everyone-else badge (which includes all the letters of the company name) to the painfully staid font, Japan's GM is as bad as its American counterpart.
It's a shame, since they have so may sweet logos in their history, particularly this old gem.

8.) Hyundai
It's a Honda logo, italicized.

7.) Scion
It looks like a middle school doodle, and not even in a good way.

6.) Shelby Super Cars
Even companies that make interesting cars sometimes wuss out when making a logo. It looks like SSC ran out of room when they made this one.

5.) Smart
As you may note, Smart does not have a 'C' in its name. The 'C' stands for compact, which stands for compact. The Smart actually stands for 'Swatch Mercedes Art,' because Swatch helped design the first Smart model, the City Coupé.
The yellow arrow stands for forward thinking, or some other 1990s trendy bullshit.

4.) Geely
You'd think that the company that makes the second-coolest car in China (the Geely Panda) would have something more interesting than this means-nothing logo. Then again, they did try and have an interesting logo once, and then it was quite possibly a ripoff of Toyota.

3.) BYD
BYD is another Chinese carmaker and also a manufacturer of cellphone batteries. They're an interesting company, making some of the most blatant knockoffs in the Chinese auto industry, and also some of the most groundbreaking electric cars in their market. And yet their logo could not be more bland if it tried.

2.) Daewoo
It's a jock strap. Can't unsee.

1.) Kia
The blandest of the bland. Hyper bland. Wallpaper paste in car logo form. The elevator music of the car logo world. It is the absolute distillation of dumbed-down design.
