Three of the five biggest buyers for Super Bowl ads in the last five games are beverage companies. It's expected. But between Pepsi and Coke are Hyundai and Chrysler. That's more interesting.

Anheuser-Busch InBev, Pepsi and Coca-Cola are among the top five Super Bowl advertisers over the last five games, along with Hyundai and Chrysler, according to USA Today.

It probably comes as no surprise both Hyundai and Chrysler are back for more this Super Bowl Sunday.

Hyundai, according to Kantar Media, has spent $67.4 million on Super Bowl ads from 2009 through 2013. Notable is that they've spent that money less on big celebrities and more on the placements themselves.

This year might have been a big money year buy using a Bruno Mars song in the 2015 Genesis spot and Johnny Galecki in the Elantra ad, but they're hardly spectacles by Super Bowl standards. Are people going to remember the ad and the car, or either of them the day after?

On the other side of the spectrum, Chrysler has usually made a big deal of itself for the Super Bowl. Over the last five Super Bowls, the team from Auburn Hills has spent $64.3 million, according to Kantar. But those have come in the form of memorable ads for the last three games, featuring faces like Eminem and Clint Eastwood.

And then you have last year's "God Made a Farmer" spot for Ram, something everyone remembered the day after, no matter what you thought of it.

So who's made their money count the most, Hyundai or Chrysler?
