Porsche's 2.0L 4-cylinder Hybrid Le Mans Challenger Named The 919 S

Porsche officially unveiled the 919 Hybrid, their Le Mans Prototype for 2014. Unlike Audi, they haven't figured out their livery yet, so the drivers were announced alongside the still camouflaged car.

Young driver Brendon Hartley was named as a brand new factory driver for the team. He and long-standinng works driver Mark Lieb join as the final drivers for the two car program, alongside already announced Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas, Neel Jani and Mark Webber. Webber is still officially a driver for Red Bull, meaning he is still prohibited for advertising for Porsche until the end of the month, leading to one of the most awkward press photos of all time.

While Porsche's engine is much lower displacement than its competitors (2.0L is more commonly seen in touring cars, with the GT class at Le Mans being over twice the displacement) the engine rules being based on fuel consumption may work to their advantage.
