More than 30 people were injured, at least two seriously, in a pileup involving more than 70 vehicles near Worcester, Massachusetts this morning. The crash also involved three tractor trailers, and is being blamed on icy roads.
Judging by the huge morass of cars parked at skewed angles all over the westbound side of Interstate 290, it looks like every driver's worst nightmare:
Some of the collisions were worse than others, including the one in the top photo, where two cars were forcibly wedged underneath a trailer.
While I-290 is clear as of now, the Massachusetts State Police spent all morning clearing cars and parking them in lots:
Update: 290 continues to be cleared of vehicles. Cars being towed to two lots to continue documenting. pic.twitter.com/G1rQSLYmUP

At this point, it doesn't look like any of the injuries are life-threatening. We'll let you know if that changes.
