Scott Fischer, known for illustrating several NY Times bestsellers as well as concept art for video games, is also an old school Datsun enthusiast, who knew? He's a User Administrator over at Ratsun.net and has done several absolutely amazing car drawings you'll only find there.
A crazy mix of rat rod, JDM and Samurai imagery. I love it!
A close-up of the lead image of this post. I want an S10 Datsun 200SX (Nissan Silvia) so bad now!
The Datsun (Bluebird) 510 is legendary, and this Curtiss P-40 Warhawk-inspired look works surprisingly well. Anyone else inspired to do a build like this?
A rare mid-60s NL320 pickup with a Kustom-inspired look. Also: goddamn white sidewalls!
Jalopnik loves wagons, so what about a '67 411 Wagon done up in that style? It's even got sidepipes!
It might look like a slightly stretched Mini, but this '58-'59 L210 is RWD and has a side-exit exhaust. I want one now!
Another great-looking pickup trucklet.
Any '74 B210 Sunny coupe with bolt-on fender flares is awesome in my book, and this might just be better than that!
An oriental Hot Rod built on a 210 and powered by what appears to be an SR20DE with individual throttle bodies. 10/10, would hoon.
If you particularly fancy any of these drawings Fischer sells prints of them over at Ratsun.net. The proceeds go to parts for his rather impressive little collection of Datsuns, particularly the 1959 Datsun 1000 Sedan he's been restoring since 2009.
