These days, Subaru keeps the wagon torch burning hotter than most. And at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show, they're showing off a mysterious concept with a goofy name set to preview their next great wagon — and a few other goodies.

This shadowy figure is the Subaru Levorg Concept. What the shit is a Levorg, you ask? Autoblog says it's "a combination of the words Legacy, Revolution and Touring," which is delightfully weird in this very 80s Japanese kind of way. It's like it should have its own anime series called Super Dimension Attack Wagon Levorg, or something.

Anyway. The Levorg packs an all-new 1.6-liter direct injection turbo Boxer engine that promises "superb driving pleasure and extraordinary environmental performance." Horsepower figures weren't released, but it also has the next generation version of Subaru's EyeSight safety system. Most likely this is the next Subaru Legacy, which has a wagon version not sold in the U.S.

From the shape of things, it looks like it will be pretty attractive. Just don't forget to bring it our way with a manual, Subaru.

But wait — there's more! Subaru will also bring to Tokyo an updated version of the Subaru Viziv concept and two new crossover concepts, one that has seven seats and another that could potentially preview a replacement for the recently canceled Tribeca SUV.

Because we all miss that car so much, you know.
