Our buddy Marchettino has a knack for spotting some of the world's most ridiculous cars on the road and on the track. He really hit the jackpot this time, having recently put eyes on a convoy of six — SIX! — Porsche 918 Spyders.
The 918 Spyder, as you well know, is Porsche's 887 horsepower hybrid hypercar due out later this year. It looks like Marchettino spotted six pre-production prototypes, including some with the black and white and Martini-inspired liveries we've seen before. And hybrid or not, I have to say they sound pretty mean.
Here's Marchettino's account:
While cruising around Monaco, I've stumbled upon by chance into a convoy of several Porsche 918 Spyders! First we followed the 3 918s, then they stopped to the gas station and to make this moment even more special, we saw 3 more 918s coming!
If my math is right, six of them in total puts the cost of this convoy at $5.07 million.
Not including the Bentley, of course.
