Looking at pictures of ProgV's mech, you can see some obvious hints here and there of its former life as a car—the headlights, for example. What's less subtle is it's awesomeness.
"I disassembled my dad's old Nissan truck which he doesn't use anymore," ProgV wrote on deviantART. One car wasn't enough to make this beast, though. "I also went to a car disassemble center many times to buy mechanical parts," ProgV explained. Altogether, the mech took a month to make and required the purchase of over a ton in parts. And it has a name of course: MA-TP, which stands for "Mobile Armored Tactical Platform."

This may not be a mech that walks, talks, and befriends our children, but the post-apocalyptic feel of scrapping together parts to make something that's new and deadly still makes it cool.
