It's one of the most anticipated cars of the year, possibly the decade. And here it is, the 2015 Ford Mustang, an evolution of a classic that is still instantly recognizable as America's pony car. And now it's going worldwide.
The 2015 Ford Mustang, seen here on a leaked cover of the newest issue of Autoweek via the Mustang6G forums, is, first and foremost, a Mustang.
The pony is still up front, there are still the three bar taillights, it's still a fastback. But there are some changes. Up front we have LEDs and a very European light cluster. It's gotten tauter and tighter along the flanks, and out back, the traditional three bar lights are now mounted at an angle.
It's a design that is simultaneously classic and fresh. Ford was able to keep the retro without shoving it in our faces. Well done.
We'll know more about the Mustang as the week goes on, but get excited people.
Huge hat tip to Cody!
