The Volvo 240 didn't change much over its multi-decade production run, but what did change were the kinds of people who bought them.
The ever-bizarre Regular Car Reviews explains how the car (on the East Coast at least) transitioned from the ride of choice for conservatives in high-waisted trousers to skinny jeans hipsters. Over on the Left Coast, the 240 ended up with the same hipster owners (count me in that bunch), though it was more of a liberal professor's car before that.
So with the hipster trend dying out, what will become of the trusty 240? Something tells me it's gonna be good.
