Here's something I never knew: In the XJ6 lineup, there were four models. One of those models was the XJ6 Vanden Plas Majestic. Majestic! It's the most British car ever.
The Sovereign is the version that John Davis says will sell the most. I guess we'll see if he's right when we get the full sales numbers in for the 1990 model year cars.
But on paper and after driving it, the Sovereign sounds promising. The suspension is a little softer, but that's no big deal. Jags are supposed to be comfy. This one fits the bill.
